As the sun was setting, I was making my way back from the beach toward the campsite when I noticed something unusual beneath the shade of a tree. A young gazelle was standing there quietly, but something immediately seemed wrong. 🦌🌿

Normally, a wild gazelle would quickly run away when a person approached. But this one didn’t move.

I slowly came closer, and suddenly the exhausted animal collapsed. It was extremely weak and appeared to be struggling to survive. 💔

I immediately carried the gazelle back to the campsite, hoping that I could at least give it some temporary help. The first thing I was able to do was offer it water. After what appeared to be severe exhaustion and thirst, getting access to water was extremely important. 💧🙏

A Growing Threat to Wildlife
