These sweet, crunchy caramel corn puffs are addictive and easy to make at home!
🧾 Ingredients
- 4 cups corn puffs cereal (like Corn Pops)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp baking soda
👨🍳 Instructions
- Prepare
- Preheat oven to 120°C (250°F).
- Place corn puffs in a large bowl.
- Make caramel
- In a saucepan, combine:
- Brown sugar
- Butter
- Corn syrup
- Cook on medium heat, stirring.
- Bring to a gentle boil for 2 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine:
- Add vanilla & baking soda
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla and baking soda.
- It will foam — this is normal.
- Coat cereal
- Pour caramel over corn puffs.
- Mix quickly to coat evenly.
- Bake
- Spread on baking tray.
- Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Cool
- Let cool completely.
- They will become crunchy.
