Copycat Beaver Nuggets

These sweet, crunchy caramel corn puffs are addictive and easy to make at home!

🧾 Ingredients

  • 4 cups corn puffs cereal (like Corn Pops)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare
    • Preheat oven to 120°C (250°F).
    • Place corn puffs in a large bowl.
  2. Make caramel
    • In a saucepan, combine:
      • Brown sugar
      • Butter
      • Corn syrup
    • Cook on medium heat, stirring.
    • Bring to a gentle boil for 2 minutes.
  3. Add vanilla & baking soda
    • Remove from heat.
    • Stir in vanilla and baking soda.
    • It will foam — this is normal.
  4. Coat cereal
    • Pour caramel over corn puffs.
    • Mix quickly to coat evenly.
  5. Bake
    • Spread on baking tray.
    • Bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Cool
    • Let cool completely.
    • They will become crunchy.
